Choosing a van
8, 10 or 13 seats — which van is right for you?
It's not just about the number of people. Your luggage and the distance matter just as much.

8-seat VIP van
Individual captain seats that recline deeply, generous legroom and a large boot. Ideal for executives, families travelling with elderly relatives, or trips longer than 5 hours. Fits about 8–10 large suitcases.
10-seat VIP van
The best balance of comfort and capacity. Our most popular choice for groups of 6–9 friends and for airport transfers. Fits about 6–8 large suitcases.
13-seat VIP van
The best value per person — great for temple trips, company outings or short journeys with light luggage. With all 13 seats taken, we recommend small bags only.
Rule of thumb: always count "people + bags". If you have more large suitcases than half the number of passengers, choose the next size down in seats, or book two vans.
Prices & costs
How van-with-driver pricing works and what's included
Understand the price structure so you can compare fairly and avoid surprise charges on the day.

A van-with-driver price is typically made up of:
- Van + driver charged per day or per trip
- Fuel based on the actual route distance
- Driver allowance and accommodation for overnight trips
- Tolls, parking and entrance fees usually paid as incurred
- Overtime if you use the van beyond the agreed hours
At H.D.VAN we price your actual route and itemise everything in the quotation, so you know the total before you confirm.
Money-saving tips
- Book early, especially for holidays — you'll get better prices and more choice.
- Plan a loop route to avoid backtracking.
- Split the cost — one van is often cheaper than three taxis.

- Share your itinerary in advance so the driver can suggest timings and the best routes.
- Leave early to beat the traffic out of Bangkok and get more time at your destinations.
- Stop every 2–3 hours — passengers and driver stay fresh, and it's safer.
- Wear a seatbelt in every seat — it's the law and keeps everyone safe.
- Don't push the driver's hours — long trips should include rest days or an overnight stop.
- Carry some cash for tolls, parking and entrance fees.
- Keep the van tidy — bin your rubbish and avoid strong-smelling food for a comfortable ride.
